SDSU Capitalism Individual and Culture Conference

This conference—Capitalism: Culture and the Individual—aims to examine the influence or relationship between capitalism and society. We seek to create an interdisciplinary discourse regarding the reach of capitalism. Specifically, we aim to investigate the relationship between capitalism, culture, and the individual. We welcome presenters to discuss a variety of topics including, but not limited to, exploring the relation of capitalism with

This conference is hosted by the Sociology Graduate Student Committee (SGSC) student organization at San Diego State University, a group comprised of sociology graduate students committed to expanding and engaging in academic discourse regarding social life. In previous years, SGSC has been funded to host Research Symposiums bringing together academics to discuss research about society and sociology. This year, SGSC is choosing to coordinate our first graduate student conference.
